All Tamil Nadu Electricity Board consumers are informed that Aadhaar card linking must be done with EB number. According to the central government guidelines, correct data should be generated about the beneficiaries and the subsidy will be deducted for those who do not link Aadhaar. TANGEDCO officials said Aadhaar linking is mandatory for the first 100 units to get the government subsidy, while the subsidy will continue for those who do not link Aadhaar. You have separate payers who reimburse Aadhaar for linking their service. The state government subsidy for home connections is free for the first 100 units and the consumption charge is reduced by 50% for the second 100 units provided the total consumption does not exceed 500 units. How to Link TNEB Number with Aadhaar?
Step 1: First, go to the official website – nsc.tnebltd.gov.in/adharupload
Step 2: Open the home page of TANGEDCO Link Aadhaar.
Step 3: Enter your TANGEDCO service connected number.
Step 4: Enter your registered mobile number, confirm and generate OTP.
Step 5: Enter the OTP and verify your TANGEDCO account.
Step 6: Enter your Aadhaar number to link to TANGEDCO accounts
Step 7: Then upload Aadhaar Card ID scanned photo in JPG/PNG or PDF format.
Step 8: Finally, click the submit button and save your acknowledgment receipt.
